Everyone’s A Guest!

Dear Friends,

Happy Summer!  It’s Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial kick-off to summer, and with it, we’re starting our summer worship schedule with ONE service at 10 AM!

If you’re heading off to camp or the lake or to see family this weekend, we wish and pray you safe travels and a wonderful time away!  Our service will be broadcast live on out website, YouTube and Facebook live at 10 AM and available anytime afterwards.

But… if you’re in town, we invite you to join us in-person, for our Everyone’s a Guest Worship service on Sunday!

Since we’ll all be gathering together, whether you regularly join us early, at 8:30 AM or later at 11 AM, for the next this Sunday, and for the next 11 afterwards, we’re going to be all together.  And there’s a really good chance you’re going to walk in and find someone you don’t recognize – and someone isn’t going to recognize you!  So this Sunday – Everyone is a guest!  And with guests, we roll out the welcome to make sure they feel at home.

We will have name tags available at the entrances – for you to fill out and put on.  We’ll have Fellowship Hour after the service downstairs, we’ll extend the greeting just a little bit and we’ll all be doing our best to slide over or make room in the pews to ensure everyone has a seat.  And regardless of whether we’re brand new or can remember when the first brick was laid, we’re going to gather with fresh eyes for God in our midst, and each other.

In fact, maybe you can help.  When you come on Sunday, take a look around you and imagine if you were coming for the very first time.  See what’s there, and what’s not there.  Is it easy to navigate? Would you know where to enter, where to find a restroom or classroom or a waste paper basket?  Would you know what to do in our worship and who we are or where you could go to get more information or even who you should talk to?

For those of us who’ve gathered here for many years, we already feel at home and mostly know where and what and who – but for those that are new, they don’t.  So this Sunday, approach our gathering with fresh eyes and share feedback with us so we can continue to be better.

There will be many guests on Sunday – it will probably feel fuller than it has in awhile because we’re all together.  That’s going to present some challenges, but I think it’s also going to be quite a wonderful experience.  And it will give us all a chance to live out our mission together –

Welcoming People to Grow in Jesus… and not just “people” – we’re welcoming You!
